24, 25 and 26 March 2003 in Studio 1 - Flagey - Brussels

This CD was recorded on a Soundscape R.Ed 24 bit/96KHz, using Sennheiser MKH40/30
microphones in Mid-Side single point set-up, through a Gracedesign 801R preamp.
No subsequent equalizing or processing was used. Monitored on Link K50
loudspeakers/Bryston 3BSST amplifier.

Studio 1 - Flagey - Brussels

First recording in Studio 1 (March, 2003), after restoration of 'the sound factory'
Flagey, the former building of the National Institute for Radio Broadcasting built by architect
Joseph Diongre in 1935-1938 re-opened its doors on October 1, 2002 after a meticulous
renovation. Known worldwide for its architecture and the superb acoustics of its
studios, Flagey has set the scene for a captivating programme: jazz, world, classical and
contemporary music as well as film and video presentations.
The new Flagey is the result of a unique partnership of almost 40 private companies and
the public authorities. Together they have created one of the most important initiatives of
the last 50 years to save an endangered architectural heritage. They have restored it to its
original splendour and, at the same time, adapted it to 21st century requirements.
